Reviews - Monte Marte Watercolours

Here is my little Review on Monte Marte Watercolours Paint Two Seasons.  I bought these paints on sale too good of a deal to not give them a try and these are not to bad they are a soft wash of colours they have some great tones for those that like to paint  softer looking colours. You can find them on Amazon Here . But I bought these for only $8 at Homesense so you can find for a cheaper price if you just look around.

This set has a Gold and Silver Colour in them too which is a nice little bonus for those who what to try out a metal colour.

I just made up a quick little sample sheet of all that come in this set to 

give you an idea of what they have. Leaving the colours as full pigment as I could

These paints aren't bad and Some of the colours feel like they been mixed with White,

and aren't that transparent as a pure colour but work good for shading.

Below is a example of the paints as you can see they feel muted to me little bolder in real life but this gives you an idea.

Pros about these
Had Metallic colours included which is a nice surprise and like the washed out colour pallet to play with.
Few Cons about these

Now I did notice a few of the  paints have a funny little smell when I used them from the tube and put it on a pallet but that went away once it dried up must be something they use in the process to create the paint. Also Might be the fact the the only thing keeping the air out of them is the lid not sealed air tight.
I also put some paint in half pans they seem to be very shiny and don't like staying in them very well and fall out a lot , they look like plastic paint. They still work fine just funny they won't stay in the pans if dropped about. Also they have been in there for a couple days and everytime I've opened the container you can smell the off gases what do they use to make them stink? lol

The paints also didn't seem to be mixed very well as water came out at first then paint showing separation or the way the store handled them

Would I buy these again maybe have to think about it.

To the Moon

Our challenge this week is to use Ribbon and I didn't want to take away from the colouring I did on this image it seems a little magical with the watercoloured BG. I've been becoming addicted to use watercolours.  So you can work with a digital image and play with your watercolours to get some sweet effects.

Kitty's are Coming !!

Finishing off my Guest Design work for Kinda Cute. this month. It's been fun playing with these adorable images.  This is from Cat Digital Stamp Set ,  I'm using them all up making some no line colourings of these cute kittys so I thought to make a set of matching cards 

FYI for those trying this print it in the lightest shade so you can still see the image and use pencils over the edges or markers to give it a hand drawn feeling
these are all done with pencils and a fine tip micron pen which I thought was lighter but turned out darker but it worked out fine

Coffee Bear

Here's my 2nd Post for Kinda Cute this month

using Bear with Cup and who doesn't love a good cuppa and I've coloured this up with

pencil crayons and used the last of my coffee paper that I had been holding on to for a while 

but I really love this paper and it's not made anymore so alas had to use it

Kitty in a Stocking

Coffee hop

Review - Watercolour Paints - Royal & Langnickel

This set comes with 18 Paint tubes all 12ml Size and 2 Paint Brushes this is a great starting point for a beginner and they aren't to expensive that it will break your piggy bank.

I did find just the paint on Amazon for 24 tubes HERE

Plus there is a lot of paint in this to play with and if it drys out in your container add water and it will act like a cake watercolour. So Bonus and you can mix your own custom pallets up with these how much fun is that

The Brushes included aren't even that bad at all I usually use a smaller tip brush when making small ATC little works of art
These watercolours I have really enjoyed using

Here are a few samples of how these paints can colour up from vibrant to soft colours. With a really good amount of transparency 

So these are a great value for your money with a lot if paint to practice and play with.

Well it seems I'm just making ATCs these days I have started a huge painting to create but so far I've painted the white bg and stopped seeing I have no idea what to paint not a clue lol
I thought I'd try and make some ACEO's and see if they might sell on Ebay ? Maybe I'm not sure if I'm ready to part with these yet but here is my space for this week

Happy WOYWW here's my space this week Been working on Christmas cards YEP I said it !!!! made 10 of them to add into the growing pile.

So here's a close up of what I'm doing you can see one of my funky cards and some of my new atc have arrived in from a group I swap with on Facebook there is over 5000 swappers so someone is always around to take a card or two off your hands.

Missed last week so just a little FYI the winner of my Gorilla is in the sidebar it's been claimed and he's flying his way to Australia.

So Here's my Space this week I've been still making ATC been colour up Chris Ryniak's Morning Scribbles too Cute they are I want a page of them made up it seems and a few C cards too out of him.

My new Tri- colour Pencils you can see that each one has 3 colours in them just started playing with them and having fun with how they shade an image quickly 

Was asked about my scrap box it's 14 cm by 24 cm Approx so it's not that big but holds a lot 

 Here is what is in it all labeled up Missing it the picture is a note pad and a post it package.
I don't have a lot of scraps seeing I reach for this 1st and if I find I haven't used the paper in a while then I recycle it. the advantage of keeping it contained I guess.
