5 Fave Creations of 2015

Happy New year everyone!!!!  Wishing you all good health and happiness  Debby is asking us to look back over the year and choose our 5 fave creations not all of mine ended up being paper creations seeing I really didn't make as many non christmas creations last year we did a lot of other stuff instead that took up a lot of crafty time.

The First thing is some stained glass windows I designed and made to go with our windows we already had in our place they are a modern take on a Prairie design we have here 

Next is a painting I created for our living room I love how it turned out and it looks great hanging above our sofa

Next is a Collection of ATC's I did for a Huge Swap I made 2 styles and had fun colouring each one differently using 2 Faced girl from Limited Runs one normal and the other zombie so much fun

This Card I actually managed to use flowers on it which is pretty good for me as I always have a
hard time getting it to look the way I like this one is using a St Rick Dennis Image

Lastly a sweet little dreamy birthday card in all Pinks and purples
I used a Limited Runs Image for an always needed birthday card

on Jan 11th they are stopping a whole bunch of non blogger followers ---  why they want you to join google and marketing studies where do you sure too etc ... snoopy buggers !!! now on to my desk
So it's a lot more tidier with things, moved and removed and shifted around.So here it is all labeled up for you to check out. I know to some of you this is just to neat but to me and my DH it makes him happier that there isn't as much JUNK as he calls it around lol. This is what my desk looks like most days I know YAWN!!!  now if I buy a little Caddy maybe it will make it look naked in areas lol 

I've hidden most of my inks and Recycled handmade containers away I've also gone through my papers and resorted them and made new labels then redid all my scraps tossed some stuff I no longer used and got rid of the inks that had died up.  The Cat bed is not a guarantee that he will sleep or hang out there, sometimes it's right under the light not that it gives off much heat he wants to be the center of what ever is going on :)

Here are  mostly all the christmas cards I managed to make this year for you all together some aren't show seeing I made them later and lots of the cards I made this year were flat so they where easy to pop in the post and the rest I hand delivered 

This group is all 5.5 by 5.5 and the bases are all kraft paper which I loved 

making with matching kraft envelopes must get more for next year :)

as you can tell I really love to make cards with hand coloured images 

now I have a couple of Birthday cards to make for the new year for a few Jan babies

5 favorite Christmas cards 2015

Debby is hosting this showcase of your 5 faves of Christmas 

Here are Mine this year I tried to avoided using Christmas papers and burn through my stash which I am trying my best to use it up even if I have to make it look like Christmas paper which I'm really loving to do now

This one I Just love the Red's I used in it and the big wonderful Ribbon Vs the Size of the snowman they almost are the same size

This one is using non Christmas stamps and making it into a Christmas card and it has a little shaker window too

This one is using up some old Christmas papers and stash I've had for a long time I love to mix my embossing powders together to get unique blends and sometimes going over a little with a darker marker then re-heating it setting the colour inside the embossing

This one I altered the background paper from one I always would look at and go nah I don't like it to 

something I really like funny how changing the colours added a stencil and embossing the crap out of a sheet really makes it interesting

This one I made altering those papers again and it turned out I had to give it to the DH seeing I didn't want to part with it at ALL and to think I hated the papers when I started making this card lol

now I love that it's all one colour in just shades of Blues

Now Here's one more to share with you all seeing I made this for the DH and loved how it turned out

this took a while to make seeing I altered the papers to make them blend and then stamped the image on to the BG sheet and recoloured and fussy cut out the little Bear James to pop him up. Even the little present tag I wrote really tiny his name on it lol

Well With everything set for the holidays and all my christmas shopping done and most of my baking shared with my friends and my hips lol I have gone through more of my stash purging and cleaning things out I'm trying to get my space less cluttered looking (TO ME !!!) and move things around again. So I have a little mini envelope that I will post to whom ever would like a little mini surprize to be sent to you snail mail it's the cost of one stamp to where ever in the world so leave a little message and next week I'll pick a winner.

So my kitty took advantage of the clean space and put him self dead center in my desk so I thought humm why not make a quick little message to everyone
as you can tell the FLASH was not what he wanted to see :P

Sparkly Christmas + Coffee Hop Winner

This is just me trying out some fun things I wanted to create an old Christmas tree that didn't really have alot of branches but left you a lot of room for ornaments the type that you tinsel goes everywhere on it  so I drew one out and created my own little ornaments on the tree, not bad they look right with the ones James the bear is holding on to.  The tree is just drawn on with my spectrum markers I used 3 shades and then I drew on little tinsel with a sakura sparkle gel pen.

and here's my little space I finished going through all my rubber stamps and am now going through my clear stamps sorting them out and removing those which I have not used and are taking up space for those I will. Which Means I'll be adding in more to my for sale page and it's got some great little savings up there too 

The spool of heavy Paper twine is from a present I wrapped and never removed at all from my space 

Oh I can't wait for this to be all done it takes so long and alot of hum do I really need that lol

Coffee Break + Candy

Had to take a little Coffee break from full on Christmas card making and so here's my Christmas coffee card not as festive but perfect to catch up with someone over the holidays, just to let them know your on your way to visit. The Ribbon was white when I started then I used my markers two different shades and coloured in the ribbon afterwards I wrote in coffee with a blender pen and pushed the ink away. I love using non-traditional colours for winter time

Little Snowman

I saw this sketch and thought why not make a extra Christmas card with it and it feels a little fancy with just that little snowman sitting there he's a LOTV mini stamp and this is the 1st time I've used him. The Merry Christmas is usually all together but I taped over half then stamped it down twice covering one word at a time just so it would fit

When ordering your stamps online I recommend never doing it a week before you want them go a month. I ordered xmas stamps for all my cards but had to buy regular ones when I heard that the cards all had to be in the post by monday for overseas YIKES and that made me panic a little and walk out buy stamps and then walk out on a Sunday evening to the one post office box that picks up at 9 am so they would get processed that day. So I'm hoping it all works out ok and the mail makes it everywhere before the 24th. So that's my reason for boring stamps on alot of my envelopes lol

So here's my desk this week I'm in the process of going through my stamps and sorting and removing some from my collection I'm no longer using (FIND THEM HERE AS I'M SELLING THEM  along with some Spellbinder dies and other stuff !!!) I've labeled up a lot of my space to make it easier to look around it's not a huge space but it works now if only I could find me a perfect little side desk drawer that has lots of shallow ones so I could make the desk look super tidy. The DH would be in heaven lol

One Bold Christmas Card

Now I've never done a really purple Christmas card before and you know what I really like how it turned out. My paper wasn't bold enough when I first tried this layout so I used my markers on them to make them really bold, I do this a lot with my border papers, just to make them go better or even look better.

Little Winter Bird

 Ever had a sheet of paper and you where like OMG I am so sick of looking at this sheet I have now idea how I'll ever use it well this was one of them it's an old BG sheet I've had forever and finally figured out how to make it into something I love. For those interested here are the steps

1. Used a stencil , darkened the inside with a blue and dark colours for around the image 

2. Stamped some snowflakes on the page used a WOW embossing (White Super Fine ) and then embossed the edges with Frantage. (Heat Paper on Underside)

3 Added in Glitter Glue around the showing parts of the star 

So here is the Finished Card I  love how it turned out

Just wondering do other cat owners have the same problem as me.
 I try to keep space on my desk, so I can work and create until this happens 

Yep ONE FAT CAT looking for attention and willing to get in the way to do it!!
This happened to me last week as I was working on some Christmas Cards

He just takes over and the next thing I know I have a little 6 inch space to work in 

ARR if you weren't so cute lol !!

So here is my space today and I have some new Goodies to show off this week too

So you can see my stash of xmas cards to the left and I'm still making more I think I'll run out and I'm starting to fill some out so they can make it out early in the post to every one on my list On the Right there's my happy mail from Kay it's a tad late but it's so amazing !!

So here's what Kay Sent me a beautiful pullover scarf and some lovely pictures she took and turned them into cards my fave one is the wood door frame but they are all wonderful works of art :)

She did send me a wooden "N" but It found a place on my window ledge in my bedroom 

 Next I've taken out my LOTV stamps and started stamping some out
,that and my printer is almost out of Ink everything prints out in a light grey.

and also some new CC dies I was lucky to have won from their blog hop in oct

 so I've just started playing with them 

and I'm in the middle of making a purple and black Christmas cards who needs just red and green ones. Lots of non traditional colours and I found some Christmas papers I forgot I owned 

funny how I only store them in 2 places 6 by 6 and 12 by 12  ... Must look through the WHOLE pile lol.

I also wanted to share this thank you from one of my giveaway's from Tinka

A Fabulous thank you card with some handmade crochet hearts and flowers for me to play with 

and seeing I don't crochet this is so fantastic to have to be able to play with 

I know I was taught when I was small but I don't remember how anymore perhaps one day I'll try it again but that won't be for a while ... so many things to try not enough time in the day

Perfect Tree Topper

Still playing with my new markers from Promarker,  I played around with shading on the bulb and ball to see how soft I could get them blended, it didn't turn out too bad I did use the blender pen once to push the ink away in the center for the refection. I put the darkest colour down then went over it quickly with some lighter greens to have the inks run together without a sharp line. I add in a  highlight with a gel pen on them

What to do with a Green Christmas

Yesterday my new Promarkers showed up and I had to play with them they are a lovely set of Greens

well I made a Christmas/Fir Tree (tut here for it) for the background and then a little bush and Grass. Then Realized it looked more like a spring time so how to fix it up well then Embossing powder to the rescue

Before embossing powder not so seasonal 

now if it was spring time this would be perfect

After Embossing now it's Winter for sure

after seeing it was too white lol

Shark Christmas Card

Now this isn't your normal Christmas card and it took a while to figure out how to use this image but I think it worked out in the end and all the embossing powders really pulled it together I've used 3 different ones on this card just to get it feeling right. Used 2 different Wow - Opaque White Bright and  White Pearl also used a little aged Silver from Stampendous  to pull in the metal pom pom ribbon.
