WOYWW

Hey all It's that time again for What's on your Workdesk Wed.
So here's my space for the week Not overly Crazy A couple halloween images I was playing with and perhaps going to make a few new pages for my book so I can flip thru and get some inspiring ideas.
and of course the dreaded xmas cards lol but I've got at least 2 holidays on the go :)
For those of you who popped in last week and seen my two new Ink Pads I've compared 4 of them
Versafine , Memento, MementoLuxe and Stampology
I also used 3 different markers to colour the hearts too
Faber Castell, Prismacolor, Shinhan Touch Twin.
Here are my results

Now it could have been me if I moved or stamped to hard just to be on the safe side
But I love my Versafine I've had  for years and it just keeps on going.
Stampology has always been light black - Dries super quick and it was also stored on it's side to fit in my box of inks :)
MementoLuxe - Will stamp on Material and heat it up to set it in.(I didn't do that)
Mostly I store my inks upside down so they stay good or so I've been told
Short and quick this week seeing Julia has the link up early .
hugs Nikki
I'll pop by your blogs in a bit !!!
Oh and I'm Number 39 again was last week too .. Freaky lol

  2. Cute images and I love your ink comparison testing Nikki. My favorite ink is Versafine, it always gives me a clean crisp and dark image, and has lasted forever even when I have forgotten to put the lid back on for hours at a time etc. I do have to be careful not to smudge it until it dries, but that is probably just me.....lol. Have a great week! Danie #54

  3. Great ink pad comparisons - ink pads can be rather confusing but this is quite straight forward. Thanks BJ#1

  4. Hi Nikki
thank you so much for doing comparisons on different inks and sharing the results with us. there is always someone new to crafting and even crafters that have been doing it for some time don't get the chance to try everything so what you have done is really helpful.
Happy WOYWW have an enjoyable week hugs Ria #22

  5. Love your stamping trial. I did one on my blog a while back, comparing black inks. Versafine came out best in mine, but you have some different pads to me. Love the Halloween images too. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #29 xx

  10. Hi Nikki,

Nice comparison of ink pads. I had to ink up my black to stamp the halloween stamp and got it too full and really made a mess. I also store my pads upside down and my markers on their sides (double pointed markers). I've had the markers for at least 15 years!

    Happy WOYWW

  12. I've never used Versafine, because I always use Staz-on (black only). It's lighter than some of yours you tried, I think.

I'm like you. I keep my ink upside down, even though Tim Holtz says you don't have to. I opened a brand new small pigment ink for my Halloween cards and the pad fell away from the holder. The ink was only on the top of the pad, and there was nothing on the bottom. I had stored it so the top of the pad was upside down. You will never convince me that it doesn't matter how you store your ink pads.

    Happy WOYWW from #7.

  13. Great desk, but I love the ink trial! I like Versafine, but tend to use archival. Happy WOYWW. Helen 13

  14. Trial by fire! So now will you just use Versafine or all of them. I could only see one as different. The cup cake looks edible. Thanks for visiting
