So Here is my space today not much still using the sewing machine finished the tree skirt and haven't done to much to make a mess on it. I did manage to sit in front of the tv to colour in a few images for my DT projects.
So this is what I've moved onto I've moved everything off the floor so I can have more room for this seat cushion for kitchen banquette seat in our kitchen ... it just happens to be 72 inches long too. It's going to be a dark green faux suede so it will hide my messes and clean up easy. I'm sure I'll be the 1st one to make a mess lol
Thanks for looking I'm off to visit as many people as I can
hugs Nikki
Well crap. For a millisecond I saw the number verification then it switched to word. Looks lie another shaky week for me and WOYWW then. Love the skirt. I am still using a patchwork one my SIL made for me 20 years ago. And cushion covering too. You are talented. Havana a happy WOYWW
ReplyDeleteMary Anne no number;)
Great post, I can't believe it's nearly time to start talking about Christmas trees... yikes! Great sewing though. Have a good day. Helen 3
ReplyDeleteWell done on completing the skirt - no mean feat, sewing a circle! Do show the tree when it's up, won't you? Happy crafting, Chris # 7
ReplyDeleteHi Nikki, nice of you to stop by. Looks like I'm not the only one making Christmas stuff. Floors can be very useful when working with large pieces of fabric Lol!.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 39
Well done - such patience. Hope you are able to use it this year. Anne x #37
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. And well done for doing that tree skirt. I know how difficult or rather awkward it is to sew in a circle. I hope you get to put the tree up. It would be a shame after doing all this work.
ReplyDeletePlease can we see the kitchen seat when it is finished?
Thanks for letting me look over your shoulder,
Have a good week,
Lisca#36
Well done you getting the sewing machine out and making the lovely tree skirt I have a couple pinned but not got round to actually doing one! LOL The banquet is looking good too... hope you get your tree out, even if its just a few days... Annette #31
ReplyDeleteI'm having so much fun sewing I'm planning on redoing an area to make it easier to have the machine out!

You have been busy, and what a perfect circle! Mind you I was confused for a second when I thought you were making a skirt for yourself so you could dress up as a tree! doh! I hope you will show a pic of how it looks when it's on your tree as I'd love to see it :o) Happy WOYWW Annie C #82
ReplyDeleteA lovely post on your blog and sorry I am a little late in visiting. It takes me nearly all week to nip around the world looking at crafty spaces. I love your tree skirt and too would like to see it under your tree when its all up and ready. Tracey @ 20
ReplyDeleteHi Nikki,
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw that Julia posted "early" yesterday I was thinking it was Tuesday!! I was going to join in but realized it WAS Wednesday. What a goof.
Nice job on the tree skirt! I imagine the ribbon around the edge was a bugger.
Hugs,
Kay
Gosh Nikki, you choose some HUGE projects to sew - the tree skirt looks enormous at 72" and the seating - wow 72" again.
ReplyDeleteI am well impressed with the ribbon binding you put on the tree skirt, not easy to do around a circle. Hats off to you today!
Hugs, Neet (who is getting later and later commenting - sorry) xxx
ps didn't find the stamps but found some - will be in my post for Artful Times next challenge. Not me really but I did enjoy colouring in for a change with Promarkers.
