Happy WOYWW well here is my desk this week it's hidden behind the HUGE painting (3 by 6 ft) that we wanted behind the sofa The DH requested something Abstract that you can stare at and see things in it and to match up with the space well this is what I came up with. it has 3 main colours in it. Which I like working with few colours it seems I didn't go for any other then what I had out.
I'm actually really happy with how this turned out and it has a bunch of layers over it now all I have to do is seal it up and hang it on the wall.
Update on the Sun room it's mostly finished has a touch of painting to do around some edges then we get to do the fun stuff PUT STUFF IN IT :)
The Ceiling is suppose to look this way need to have a little rustic popping in to show age
With a touch of Fancy Plaster Crown molding and then the floors sanded down and sealed up and we now have some sweet wainscotting around the bottom.
So that's what we've been up to and it's been keeping us busy for sure and it's finally nice again here no more super hot days and it's 25 out with a wonderful breeze that I just love. Not to hot not to cold just RIGHT !!!
HUGS Nikki
Great canvas love the simplicity along with the intricacy great piece
ReplyDeleteI've been living in my home for 4 years now, and I still have not painted something for my living room! You did a great job! Yes you certainly can see things in it! Sort of mysterious too, like there's a story you can tell when you look at it. I am sure your husband is happy with it! patsy
ReplyDeleteI love that painting for your living room wall! I see a cityscape disappearing into the distance.. Love it. Have a great week Helen 2 (thanks for already dropping by)

Hi Nikki, gogeous painting. At first my scifi brain told me it was the crack in the solar system (Doctor Who) however my artist's brain tells me it's an island in the distance which is probably preferable to the other Lol! Have a great week with lots of lovely crafting and happy woyww, Angela x 28
ReplyDeleteGosh how wonderful to be able to produce a lovely picture like that. Your room looks Beautiful with all the upheavel behind you. It's a wonderful space and I love that ceiling. Enjoy your day. Barb#29 xx
ReplyDeleteHi Nikki, awesome canvas, love the muted colours. Your sun room looks amazing, wonderful to see 'old' and 'new' fused like that. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #11 xxx
ReplyDeleteWow and Wow!!! I spent quite a long time just looking at your painting ---it is awesome!!! The sunroom is gorgeous too ---that will be such a great place to chill out. It has been sticky hot and stormy here. Had to talk the grandies through a tornado warning that lasted half an hour. They live 1 1/2 hours away and even though Mommy had them safely ensconced in the basement, they wanted Nannie and Poppa on the phone to say they were scared.Crazy summer weather has followed that nasty winter we just got through. I'll still take summer over winter anytime. LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a good week. Nann4 #34

That canvas is serene. Love it! And that ceiling I think is my favorite part of your sun room, though the craftsmanship on the wainscotting and molding is pretty cool, too. Creative Blessings! Kelly #57
