A little Hello Card
Faux Leather Background
Used paper bag and crumpled it up
Flatted it out then ripped it up to cover over the page
Glued it all down
Then using two different Brown inks one dark and light
went over with the dark 1st lightly
then the lighter shade heavy handed to get it in the cracks
afterwords I used WOW embossing powder Dull
and covered the whole thing with it
Voila Faux Leather
Used More WOW on the rest of it
Used their Stamps from "Just Saying" and "Happy Little Flower" Sets
Used Opaque Bright White to create the flowers then coloured
them with a Crayola Pencil in Gold
The Hello is just stamped in Black with a gold ink around the edges
then embossed the whole thing with Clear embossing powder

That's a pretty nifty technique Nikki. I have heard of it before, but like lots of things it had receded into the Dark Recesses of the mind!! Cute card!.
ReplyDeleteYour faux leather looks fantastic Nikki! The stamping looks fab on the black card and the gold pencil has just made the flowers stand out beautifully. Love it. Debra x

Hello Nikki,
ReplyDeleteLove the faux leather look on the card. I live the use of the white around the flowers - it really helps them pop off the page.
Hugs,
Kay

This is a beautiful faux leather look you have created. I have tried the kraft card and glycerine technique by Sheena Douglas. Hugs Mrs A.
