Wooden Bookmark

I've been on a kick of making bookmarks I don't know what happened to all my bookmarks I'm sure they are tucked in books somewhere. Plus what a great way to use scraps. So this one I wanted to look like wood the flower goes on the backside too and I've embossed the flower twice one with Verdigris then with Matt dull and it did take away the shine I love the dull embossing powder gives the depth you want when you emboss minus the shine.

Where does the time go it's been a very busy week of renovations for us

Living during renovations and trying to still have a little crafty space to play requires the ability to move your space about again and again  ... He still says I have to much but it's really not that much his tools beats my stash hands down but what can you do guys don't want to see it lol so I will have a room shortly but it's not done yet and the floors done, radiator moved to where we want it and voila I will have a space that I can have as my own. It will have all my craft supplies, painting and stain glass stuff that I love to play with.

So the Space isn't all set up and organized still a work in progress and I've been working on some new drawings and I've just screwed up a scrap piece of drywall up to just block off my space from our little temporary kitchen, everything thing in this house is temporary right now :P 

ATC UPDATE - I have 4 extra to Swap Yah !!! + 1 for whoever is below my Number :)

OMG I am so behind this week where does the time go !!!

Happy WOYWW and may you had a fantastic St Patty's Day Yesterday and you had fun !

So here's my space today lets see what I have going on today ATC's Seeing the last one's I made where the wrong size opps 3.75 by 2.5 Oh well Guess I have some gift tags now lol.

So Before I went to work I jammed everything that was about on the floor and popped it on my desk so it was out of my honey's way while he put some plaster up in the room . You can see all my 12 by 12 sheets and my sewing machine which I have been using lately.

 Paper put back on the floor along with my sewing machine and here's what was hiding all underneath it. Some ATCs I've Been working on now the right size. I have a total of 3 done just have to write up the details on the back for each and try and finish a couple more. For the WOYWW swap.

WOYWW + Last Chance to enter My Candy !!

Today was a wonderful day outside went for a walk downtown went to a couple antique shops to get some ideas on what we both like and don't like. Looking for some lighting for our place and it's no small task there is so many pretty things out there it would make your head spin.
So the snow was melting YAH but I'm not sure it's done yet UGG!

My space is a little messy could use a dusting and tidy up some ATC's I've started for the swap we should be having soon. Going to see how many I can make and some new doodles I've been working on to become digital stamps. Some make some end up in the bin. The little boxes with the white fronts are my oatmeal boxes with little paper drawers to hide away my flowers and keep it all neat and also I find that because they are in reach I'm using them. I've also realized I don't really use the big flowers I own I prefer the smaller ones or some I cut with my dies.

The paper I've had for YEARS I've had a 6 by 6 sheet in my little box waiting to be used and  OMG I just found a full 12 by 12 sheet of it too how long have I been flipping by it cause once I used it I think it stunning. Black and white is not a colour I normally use so this paper has been sitting forever. I made the bigger balloon myself and coloured it to match along with the flowers just lightly to add accents. So this little monkey topper had to be peaking out of a card. Makes you want to just pinch him

Building a Snowman + Fake Frantage

 TIP : Here's a Card and a little Tag I made for Christmas the tag was a pre cut die that I sanded down stamps then embossed with clear then added a little of the Aged Gold to try that effect I've been seeing around (mock/fake frantage) You can aquire a look that is close with using powders you have on hand it's just your going to use a lot less this way seeing you sprinkle it on very little

** if your using paper then heat it from underneath so the embossing powder doesn't get pushed together with the force of the heat **

About my desk and last week's post

Re-using my old drying out brush markers with my re-inkers

I put some washi tape around them so I will know which one is dead and don't grab it when colouring.

I don't own much in the re-inkers at all but I've only 3 dead brush markers at the moment so they will have to do. Have to also say these markers didn't last as long as some of mine that I own but I find brush markers seem to go quicker on me perhaps I use them on more then I think.

I add a drop of re-inker onto something none porous and dip the tip into the colour I've picked out try to keep your tones of colours close or you will end up with new ones :)
Then just colour in 

these are the different types of inks I've used and they all worked no problem but you'll have to figure out how intense you want the colour but I liked the effect that they produce
