WOYWW time pop into Julia's and check out everyone Else's space you'll see from tidy to messy to everything new stash how to organize in small to HUGE spaces.
My Space is a spare room which I'm loving it's not really exciting but I like it and it's a work in progress, constantly in progress. I'm still not done and I love to have things easy to reach but tucked away neat and matchy matchy which means I shouldn't be crafting lol so many different things and they all take up space and they come in so many awkward sizes. I've started stripping the door that will be chopped into two panels that will be my desk base so exciting but SLOW to do.
So here's my space this week ... WARNING there is some sort Christmas always about our right now are some of my fave studio G Christmas stamps I love that they are small and work well with little cards these are just the sentiments only I have a few other pages of Christmas seeing I make the most of them.
So I've pulled out to show off my whole space seeing that I'm hoping to work more on the desk base and change it around. Plus to prove I'm not always super neat lol. Below I have my boxes filled with ribbons, tapes, glues & glitter glues, Binders Stamps & Sticker embellishments.
On the floor my 12 by 12 in a wooden box and also a paint box with a little chandelier I picked up at an antique fair for an amazing price.
With this door being two new sides I've been removing the paint off it and then sand it down to clean it all up I'll eventually seal it up not sure if I want a clear coat or a little darker stain to this lovely old oak door.
So this is what I've been up to check out everyone else's space at Julia's
and have a wonderful day
hugs Nikki
Well, we're both up late! I love the idea of a door for a table, and I'd never do the stripping! Good on you.
ReplyDeleteI love tidy and organized and need to clean up to organize my thoughts- no apologies !
Thanks for stopping by and the snoop around!
Robyn( pre Julia)
I do envy you (and everyone else) with a dedicated craft room... it is looking good - the door will be fab!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Helen 7
You are doing a great job on the door, Nikki. Slow and steady is obviously the way... well done. Having Christmas out doesn't worry me - love to see it. And, yes, you are right - Christmas cards are probably the biggest volume of cards I do each year - so... well... of COURSE we need loads of stash!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Stripping plaint is so tedious but you're doing a great job! It'll make for a fun desk when you're finished!!

Argh. Christmas {wink} Love the look of that door. It could be a nice desk, were it not for the panels. Bet it looks stunning stripped and waxed. Furniture restoration is not in my skill set but I do envy those with the know how. Can't wait to see it in situ!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

That door is starting to emerge in all it's beauty - go yoU!
ReplyDeleteI LovE how you think that the pull back shot seems to prove that you're not too neat!
Love how you have gone for a wide angle shot (i would not dare in my room) I go for the zoom.

It looks like a productive work space! xx Jan (57)
ReplyDeleteWow, that door is very cool, don't think I've ever seen one quite like it. It's going to make a nice big desk!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments. :-)
Happy Woyww,

you must have a lot of patience to do all that stripping! Karen #18
ReplyDeleteBeautiful door! I like having my crafty supplies close to hand, then I sometimes I have to re-prioritize when I get pinned in lol. Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteI like neat and organized and matchy matchy too but you are right that there are too many things in too many sizes to get it all to work. Hubby often suggests that wouldn't it be nice to have my own craft room and I say no. I like being in the living room. It is big, has large windows, and the cats hang out with me. I couldn't see being tucked away in a room somewhere.... also then we'd have no use for a living room since he lives in his man cave. I always thought a door would make a fabulous desk because it has so much area! I like what you have going on for your desk now but I know once you get the door done it will be even more exciting!
ReplyDeleteSo much going on here, love the desk.
ReplyDeleteThe door is coming on but If I were taking the paint off I would have to use nitromos. It's best to do it outside but it takes the paint off in no time at all.
I have done lots of old furniture in the past and always use it.
Hope you have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x #38
I have never been good at re-doing old furniture. Still have some to do. Probably I will never get to it. Will look forward to seeing your finished project. Thanks for the peek at your space. #28
ReplyDeleteLove the door you're working on! That is going to make awesome legs for your desk. Also really like the wood shelves in front of the desk. Thanks for the earlier visit! Hugs and Happy WOYWW! Nan G #61
ReplyDeleteThe door is going to be great! And I love your chandelier! Are you going to hang it as is? Or are you going to repurpose it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by too,

Hi Nikki happy WOYWW and thanks for visiting my desk...you are doing amazingly with that desk space and your door is just beautiful, whatever you decide...have a fun week RobynO#29
ReplyDeleteI love the coziness of your studio with all the cool vintage containers and antique touches. I know what you mean about craft tools coming in so many awkward sizes, which makes it awkward to store them as well. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see your workspace Nikki, love the table lamp. Have a great week, Hugs, Shax #6 xxx

ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have your work cut out for you on that door. My mother likes to refinish stuff. I am all about instant gratification. :-)
