WOYWW

It is that time of the week again where we show off our spaces so here is mine Yep that's a Christmas card right there in the middle I'm trying to figure out embellishment and sentiment part but I have no idea what I want lol (as par normal crafting for me)

I'm also working on a new HEAD for Halloween he's still in the working on stage seeing. Not painted and I'm going to maybe add in some more GROSS details before I paint him up even more gross lol.  For those of you wondering this is one of those dollar store crappy skulls they have they can look really amazing when altered up painted and sealed up the last set I made I still have to put out.  He's covered in Tissue Paper and some sort of dollar store paper clay which I really like to work with for this keeps it light. Gonna go see if they have any more.
Yep he's pretty freaky looking right now but eventually he will look worse lol
Found a picture of my last ones made up . They needed a little touch up last year.
they where covered with paper and moss and flour and water paste
that's my space at the moment
hugs Nikki

  2. Those skulls look fun!! Our local Thrift warehouse has some fab Halloween costumes at the moment.they are new, and every year they do a big promotion for Halloween. I love the textiles they have used on some of the costumes!

  3. I cannot believe how much Halloween stuff our stores are carrying. I have become addicted to the celebration myself and could spend a fortune. Nothing better than pressing the buttons on those animated characters when out shopping. Of course DH keeps a tight hold of the money 'cos he knows what I would be like LOL.
Look forward to seeing your display nearer the time.

  11. Ha! Love that you've got both Halloween and Christmas going on right now. I hadn't thought to alter those plastic skulls, but what a fab idea. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for that dollar store paper clay as well. Hmmm. Oh, the possibilities. Thanks for the inspiration and here's hoping your skull turns out super creepy!! :)

  14. Omigawd, those skulls are still creeping me out! You are very clever to see the finish at the start, it's a real skill. As for card finishing and embellishing...I work the same way....stamp, colour, mount...and then what?!!
