WOYWW

HAPPY WOYWW everyone !!
Here's my space this week I've been a busy girl this week and you might notice that my camera is facing a different direction well we painted the floors a dark slate colour which looks so much better and it has a semi gloss which I'm loving so my room 1/2 the floor was painted then the other half so my desk is still flipped leaning up against my closet that I have no access to till we put back the carpet but we wanted to give the floors a while to really set up. It feels weird reaching the wrong way for things but it's only for a little while longer. Notice my 12 by 12 paper box is off the floor at the moment and sitting in the window ledge I didn't even realize for the longest time it was a shot gun bullet box lol.
Close up little Lily of the Valley stamping going on with James the Bear. I only have 4 of his stamps now I'm stuck looking on eBay hoping someone will sell one used when I can.
So to share with  you this years skull I have no idea what happened or how he ended up looking like a bug more then a demon but it's Halloween there is no mistakes just gruesome fun. The DH just loves him in the dark he's pretty freaky looking

  1. Love that WILD skull Nikki. It's a nice balance to make something like this as well as "pretty" things. My "pretty" side is lace/ the other side is BOLD colour and BIG, but I haven't made anything like this for AGES!!
Have a happy rest of week. You've been doing loads to your home.

  2. Hello Nikki. Wow you have done a great job in altering a cheap plastic skull found at the dollar store. Yah it is always different when things get moved around how you always tend to go for where it was. Have a fantastic Wednesday and chat soon. Hugs~Anne (no number yet)

  5. Happy WOYWW. I would love to rummage through your 12x12 paper box - I actually used some Halloween paper this week that I had been hanging on to for 6 years! My new resolution is to use my stash, not just stroke it. Your skull turned out fantastic. Ali x #7

  9. Funnily enough I think the skull is slightly less scary now he's morphed into an alien! Great work though, you can tell you had fun on that project!

  15. Definitely a wild looking skull! I think a black & white photo of him would go nicely in my album (if it wasn't full already!). I like the looks of the bears you've stamped out.

  19. Crikey, it's scarey in broad daylight! Your ideas are amazing! Love the sound of the floors, nice sheen sounds perfect to me. Laugh that you're reaching the wrong way because of the temporary position of the desk....just as you get used to it, it'll be time to change back!

  21. I bet having your desk in a different place is a little unnerving! Your bullet box is super cool, and works so well with your papers. I love using vintage things in different ways and this is a perfect example.
As for you buggy demon, he is freaky for sure. Perfect for the holiday! You did an awesome job altering that skull into something completely different. Impressive!

  22. GOOD MORNING NIKKI! GREAT Buggy Skull - grin - but still so creepily, halloween-y! We really seem to discover how much we are "creatures of habit" when we move stuff around in our creative spaces, don't we? Happy belated WOYWW! from Lynne in Canada #51

  26. Terrific ghoul scull work! I have a set of stairs that I keep putting off painting. They lead into my room, and I am on them 10 times a day....might not ever get that job done! Keep smiling and creating. Good luck with your carpeting! and getting things back to order.
